Five on Friday: Drybar Must-Haves

Happy Friday Lovies!

It’s been forever since I’ve done a “beauty” post and since Drybar is opening here in Jacksonville (yes my friends…you read that right) I thought why not share my top five Drybar must-haves. Seeing as the company contacted me to be apart of their outreach program and help with the promotion/launch of their new store here in town I’ve taken it upon myself to do some research on the company & products.

The Story

“Named one of the top ‘100 Brilliant Ideas of 2010’ by Entrepreneur Magazine and New York Magazine’s Boom Brands of 2013, Drybar is based on the simple concept of focusing on one thing and being the best at it: Blowouts. The idea was a natural one for curly-haired founder Alli Webb, a longtime professional stylist, who constantly found herself overpaying for blowouts at traditional salons.

[Their] growing product line, (created specifically for the perfect blowout) is sold through [their] own shops, as well as Sephora, Nordstrom, Ulta and Bloomingdale’s.”

It’s genius…literally! Most of the world can not do their hair as nice as their stylist, so what do you do when you have a work event, party, wedding to attend, etc… and just want a pretty blow-out or some beachy waves?  You go here!! *See their complete service menu here.

The Products

I. The Warden

The Warden is a brand-new, super-firm hairspray that has polyblend technology to grip your hair for maximum hold. It gets bonus points for the UV filters that help protect your locks from the harsh Florida sun.

II. Pep Rally

Pep Rally is A two-in-one prime and prep detangler that helps prevent breakage, lightly conditions, and adds shine. It Provides a daily dose of vitamins making hair healthy and strong and preps hair for optimal product performance. It also balances hair’s pH level for a tightly closed cuticle, reducing dry time.

III. The Detox

The Mini Detox is my favorite product for two reasons! First, it’s a dry shampoo that absorbs oils and leaves hair feeling fresh and clean between washes. It adds lift and body to roots that need a boost and the formula disappears as oil gets absorbed. It also deodorizes dirty hair. Now that I’m back to work I only have time for a good “wash” maybe once during the work week so dry shampoo, specifically the detox and I are besties!

The second reason I love the mini detox is because this particular bottle, if you can’t tell, is the travel size version of the Detox that comes in a bright pink canister, and $1 from each sale benefits City of Hope, a leading cancer research and treatment center. HELLO! You know me and October/Breast Cancer/Awareness, etc… BUY ALL THE BOTTLES!!! *This item hasn’t been released yet so look for it to hit the stores in October!

IV. Drybar to Go

Want to talk about genius people creating genius things!? This “Let it Blow! Drybar to go” kit is amazeballs! This is a sneak peek of one of the many kits coming out during the Holidays.  It is the perfect “to-go” hair kit for traveling.  Everything is carry-on size approved and small enough to fit in your bag! Who wouldn’t want this!?  For those of you who are Drybar fans…it’s similar to (but not exactly the same) as the Peace on Earth, Good Hair to All kit from last year. Again, be looking for this at your local Drybar or any Nordstrom, Ulta, Sephora, etc…

V. Good Hair For All

Drybar founder Alli Webb’s book “Good Hair For All” drops October 18. The book will feature her tried-and-true tips and step-by-step instructions for achieving that flawless Drybar look at home. For those who are “hair challenged” this is the perfect purchase/gift for you!

Okay Lovies! Happy Weekend & Good Hair to you all! XOXO
